China Mobile launched 4G service in December 2013. Now, 4G subscription accounts for only 23.2% of the company's entire mobile service, but that still means a whopping 189 million subscribers.

The 817 million include 413 million 2G subscribers, 215 million 3G subscribers and 189 million 4G TD-LTE subscribers. China Mobile launched 4G service in December 2013.
