5G New Radio – Unlicensed Frequency Communication using LBT

The LBT provides lower the interference and reduces the collision probability with other terminals contending the same channel. The LBT is well designed in LTE LAA to support coexisting in a friendly way with other LAA nodes and other RATs, such as Wi-Fi. Although LBT is not a mandatory requirement to implement in high-frequency unlicensed spectrum LBT still provides a promising opportunity to enhance the transmission reliability and lower the successful transmission latency due to the collision.

5G New Radio Interface: CP-OFMD Scenario in eMBB

The URLLC services refer to future applications that require secure data communications from one end to another with ultra-high reliability and deadline-based low latency requirements. This type of quality-of-service is vastly different from that of traditional mobile broadband applications. In this article, we discuss the eMBB based on Cyclic Prefix Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (Filtered OFDM, Universally filtered OFDM, Pulse shaped OFDM…).

5G New Radio

5th Generation Mobile Network or simply 5G is the forthcoming revolution of mobile technology. Basically, 5G is the advanced form of the LTE-A Network. In the 5G Network may be used advanced form key technology such as MIMO, OFDM, SC-FDMA etc.

We have been adopted new physical waveforms or new modulation scheme at least. The new waveform in a new generation has been designed to overcome some restriction in previous technology or increase the spectrum efficiency. It is highly likely that this holds true for 5G, implying that we will see the new waveform.

5G Slice and Requirements

A network slice, namely “5G slice”, supports the communication service of a particular connection type with a specific way of handling the Control and User plane for this service.

Slicing is provides logically independent network on a single network infrastructure to meet diversified service requirements and provides DC-based cloud architecture to support various application scenarios. Uses Cloud-RAN to reconstruct radio access to provide massive connections of multiple standards and implement on-demand deployment of RAN functions required by 5G.
