우연한 기회에 알게 된 것인데, 혹시 다들 아시고 계신 내용일까 싶어서 올릴까 망설이다가 올립니다. 여기에 게시된걸 찾지 못해서요.

결론을 먼저 말씀드리면, PPPoE를 사용할 때, [네트워크 환경->등록 정보]에서 TCP/IP->Ethernet Adapter(Intel, 3Com, Realtek 등등)을 삭제하시거나, Static-IP를 설정해 주어야 합니다.(이미 다 아신다구용? ㅡㅡ;)

PC에서 외장형 ADSL을 사용하고 DHCP가 아닌 PPPoE용 각 프로그램들을 설치하면, [네트워크 환경->등록 정보]를 보면 네트워크 어댑터가 두 개 이상 나타납니다. 하나는 일반적인 Ethernet Adapter이고 다른 하나는 PPPoE를 위한 일종의 Network Adpater emulation(? : 정확하게 머라구 해야 할지 모르겠습니다)입니다.

각 어댑터에는 TCP/IP 프로토콜이 연결/대응(?) 되는데, PPPoE를 통해서 받은 IP는 PPPoE emulation과 연결된 쪽으로 할당되는 것이고, Ethernet Adapter와 연결된 쪽은 IP가 없는 상태로 남아있습니다. 따라서 이 상태로 그냥 사용하게 되면 웹 브라우저든, MS/DOS command 창이든, Network 을 사용하는 도중에 <일시적인 통신 불능> 현상을 경험하게 됩니다. 왜냐하면 Windows 운영체제에서 IP가 할당되지 않은 네트워크 어댑터에 대해서 주기적으로 IP를 얻기 위한 동작(DHCP가 되나요?)을 하기 때문입니다.

따라서 위에서 말한 둘 중 한가지를 하지 않으면 바이러스라든지, 이상한 현상인 것 처럼 생각할 수 있습니다. 아래에 제가 읽은 원문을 실었습니다. 또한 link도 있으니 참고하세요.

IMPORTANT: Locate and select the TCP/IP->Adapter Name entry for the network adapter connected to your broadband modem. If this network adapter is dedicated to your broadband modem, simply click the Remove button. If you also want to access other local machines through the same network adapter, click the Configure button and assign a fixed IP address (e.g. 192.168.0.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0). If you do not take either of these steps, you will experience periodic pauses while using this protocol, because Windows will periodically halt the network adapter and try to acquire for an IP address for it, which also makes the machine take significantly longer to boot up.
