DASAN Networks introduces Next-Generation Gigabit Internet Solutions in MWC 2015
03/03/2015 | By NETMANIAS (tech@netmanias.com)

DASAN Networks is participating in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015, in Barcelona Spain, for the next four days starting on the 2nd of March and will be presenting its Wired and Wireless Network Solutions.

It is the 4th consecutive year for DASAN Networks to participate in the MWC, and this year’s event will be on cutting edge network solutions focused on 5G-Gigabit Internet-IoT (Internet of Things) Solutions for Gigabit Internet Services include, NG-PON (Next Generation-Passive Optical Network) which utilizes existing optical cables to perform 40Gbps and 10G-EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network) with line speed at 10Gbps for multi-service needs (100 times faster than current 100Mbps services)

Wireless solutions for IoT include Access Point Controller and Access Point with full IEEE 802.11ac support to perform at wireline speeds.

DASAN Networks will also be displaying its Mobile Backhaul (MBH) solutions fit for effectively managing the increase in wireless traffic for the upcoming 5G era.

During the conference, DASAN Networks will have business meetings with more than 20 global telecommunications companies and network equipment providers. Through these meetings, DASAN Networks seeks to widen its global business sector.

MinWoo Nam, CEO of DASAN Networks said, “DASAN Networks has been aggressively pursuing the global market, and recently started to gain an increase in sales along with an increase in global awareness. DASAN Networks will take more chances in the global market, with cutting edge network solutions tested and proven in various markets.

MWC is held by the GSMA (Global System for Mobile communications Association), with 1,800 companies participating from approximately 220 countries.

DASAN Networks has recently been selected to supply network solutions for Vietnam and Taiwan’s network constructions. Such global expansion was possible due to DASAN Networks’ active R&D investment, which again allowed DASAN Networks to provide products to 60 companies at 25 different countries around the world. DASAN Networks currently operates R&D centers in India, Vietnam and China, and also has Sales Offices located in the US, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam and India.
